Hello everyone!
I’m in a hotel room in Arizona to celebrate Mother’s Day with my son, Darius. We just arrived and are trying to adjust to the new time zone. It’s only 5 PM here, but it feels like 8 PM to us back home, so I’m a bit tired.
Our hotel room is cute and cozy, with a little mirror that Darius keeps checking himself out in. He keeps saying, “I look kind of weird,” and I’m thinking I just look messy after the flight. The room also has a small balcony where we can sit, relax, and enjoy the view.
This will be my Arizona vlog for our Mother’s Day weekend getaway with Darius. I’ll try to film a bit here and there to share with you all!
Today, we visited Darius’s campus. It felt amazing to see him in his college environment. We walked around the pool area, which was pretty lively with other students and parents. Darius seems to be well-liked here.
We had a light snack by the pool – though I had to double-check if the food was kosher (it was kosher, but not vegan).
My husband and I are about to head out to a restaurant called "Loving Fools" for dinner. I’m starving – okay, maybe not starving starving, but I’m really hungry!
Turns out this is actually our second parent weekend at Darius’s school. The next one will be in the fall, and we always try to visit each semester.
It feels so special to spend this time with my son on Mother’s Day.
