Cleaning My House With Me

Cleaning My House With Me

Hey everyone! Today I’m doing something a little different — this is my very first cleaning video! So please go easy on me if I’m not doing everything perfectly, okay? It’s my first time after all.

Today’s Cleaning Plan
I’ll be cleaning the first floor of my house, which includes:

  • The kitchen

  • The foyer

  • The dining room

  • Sweeping and mopping the floors

You’ll see me washing dishes, moving around, maybe taking a phone call, listening to music — just doing a bit of everything! The video will have background music and some time-lapse clips so it’s not too long for you guys.

Oh, and I also want to share that I’m trying to stay more active and lose a few pounds. I’m still eating normally, but cleaning like this really helps me burn some calories!

Products I Used

For the floors:

  • Lots of water

  • A gentle hardwood floor cleaner (so it doesn’t damage the wood)

For furniture and surfaces:

  • Orange Glow Wood Furniture Cleaner – smells amazing! I used it on the railings and wooden furniture

  • Weiman Stainless Steel Cleaner – for the stainless steel appliances (it’s spelled W-E-I-M-A-N, something like that)

  • Weiman Quartz & Stone Cleaner – for stone surfaces

  • Sprayway Glass Cleaner – my interior designer recommended this one, said it’s better than Windex

  • Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day (Snow Drop scent) – OMG this scent is everything! I absolutely love it! I spray it on cabinets and furniture, then wipe everything down with a microfiber cloth

The Results

Let me take you through each area:

Foyer Area
I mopped the floors, wiped down the stairs and railings with the orange cleaner. The console table just got dusted — no cleaning products because I didn’t want to damage it.

Living Room
I didn’t touch the carpet! I just cleaned the glass cabinets, swept and mopped the floor, wiped down the furniture with Mrs. Meyer’s, and fluffed the pillows. In the corner, I lit a candle and dusted a bit.

Kitchen Area
This place was a mess! I keep all my filming equipment for cooking videos here, so it gets cluttered. Here’s what I did:

  • Cleared off all the countertops

  • Wiped down the cabinets

  • Cleaned the stainless steel appliances with the Weiman cleaner

  • My husband helped scrub the stove — he knows how to do it right, you’ve gotta let it soak first!

My Secret for a Fresh-Smelling Home
See that crock pot? I pour some Fabuloso in it and let it run all day — it makes the whole house smell amazing!
But you know what REALLY fills the house with fragrance? This Aroma candle — it costs $500! I know that sounds crazy, but when I say it makes the entire house smell good, I mean it! You guys know how big my house is — it still fills every floor with scent! I only light that candle when guests come over though. On regular days, I use more affordable ones so I don’t waste it.

Final Thoughts
My house still isn’t fully done — there’s a lot more to finish. We’re waiting for the electrician to come and hang the chandelier in the foyer since the ceiling is cathedral-style and super high. You’ll see the full home tour around April!

Thanks so much for joining me while I cleaned today. A woman’s work never ends, right?
