Hey y’all! Today I’m sharing my experience designing my brand-new Ferrari Roma Spider at the Ferrari showroom. This was an exciting—and expensive—journey!
Stepping Into the World of Ferrari
This morning, I went to the Ferrari showroom to start designing my new car. I have to admit, I was a little nervous because this will be my second Ferrari. As soon as I stepped into the showroom, I was immediately drawn to the stunning cars on display.
“Look at that yellow one baby!” – I couldn’t help but exclaim when I saw the vibrant yellow Roma Spider. But I was here for one clear reason: to design my own Roma Spider, just the way I want it.
The Battle of the Paint Colors
The first—and probably most important—step was choosing the exterior paint color. The sales consultant showed me over 50 shades of red, from basic reds to metallics and mattes. He listed them out one by one: Rosso Corsa, Rosso Scuderia, Rosso Mugello…
But when he showed me “Lipstick Red,” I knew right away—that was the one. “I think I like that!” I told my husband. It’s a beautiful pinkish-red shade that’s totally unique, nothing like the traditional Ferrari reds.
The Big Decisions
Once the main color was locked in, we started configuring the rest of the details:
Carbon Fiber and the Stripe:
At first, I wanted a yellow stripe along the bottom of the car for a bold pop. But when I found out it cost $15,500, I had second thoughts. “We can take the stripe off,” I decided in the end.
Wheels:
I went through a bunch of wheel options—from standard ones to gold-finished rims. The gold looked gorgeous, but I chose to stick with the standard wheels to avoid overloading the car with too many colors.
The Interior Struggles
The interior was definitely the hardest part. At first, I wanted red seats with yellow stitching, but once I saw how Lipstick Red looked on the outside, I realized it didn’t really match the standard red interior.
A Bold Idea:
In a spontaneous moment, I tried out yellow seats. “Oh my gosh!” I gasped when I saw how it turned out. It looked so bold and unique—but maybe a little too bold.
Final Decision:
I ended up choosing black Alcantara seats with yellow accents—yellow stitching, a yellow Ferrari logo, and yellow piping. It struck the perfect balance between luxury and eye-catching.
A Lesson in Investment
Throughout the process, I kept reminding myself: this isn’t just a car—it’s an investment. “I want to make it sellable because it’s an investment,” I told myself. Ferraris hold their value really well, and sometimes even appreciate over time—but that only happens if the design is tasteful and not overly personalized.
That’s why I passed on some of the louder color choices, even though they were gorgeous.
Tech Features I Added
I also selected a few smart and useful features:
-
360-degree camera ($6,257) – just like on my Tesla!
-
Premium JBL sound system ($6,431)
-
Power-adjustable seats
-
Carbon fiber steering wheel with LED lights
The Final Result
After nearly an hour of configuring, my Roma Spider was fully customized with:
-
Exterior: Unique Lipstick Red color, carbon fiber accents, standard wheels, yellow brake calipers
-
Interior: Black Alcantara seats with yellow details, carbon fiber steering wheel, and custom Roma-branded floor mats

Final Thoughts
Designing a Ferrari isn’t just about choosing colors and features. It’s a delicate balance between personal taste, visual appeal, and long-term value. I learned that sometimes, less is more.
Now I just have to wait a year for the car to be built. I can’t wait to test drive it and share the experience with y’all!
P.S. What do you think of my choices? Too bold? Let me know in the comments!
Love y’all, thank y’all for tuning in! ❤️
