Hey everyone!
I hope you're all doing well. Today, my husband and I are so excited to share the amazing experience we had at the R&B Music Festival in Cincinnati – a trip that was truly unforgettable from beginning to end!
Our journey began at the Atlanta airport, and let me tell you, it was a complete mess. I’ve traveled a lot, but this was by far the worst airport experience I’ve ever had. The TSA line was insanely long – it stretched all the way from the baggage claim area, and it felt like we were stuck in line forever. It was chaotic, overwhelming, and honestly, it nearly threw off the start of our whole trip. But we were determined to push through, because we knew what was waiting for us on the other side!
The festival lineup was ! We were super hyped to see Janet Jackson, Anthony Hamilton, Tank, and OJ – some of the best names in R&B. Even though the official start time was set for 7:30 PM, if you've been to festivals before, you know the show almost never starts right on time – and this one was no exception. But that just gave us more time to soak in the atmosphere and enjoy ourselves.
When we got to the venue, the energy was electric! It was hot, crowded, and alive with music lovers everywhere. We took our time to walk around, check out the stalls, and of course, grab something to eat. I ended up ordering a plate of salmon salad, some fresh fruit, and a plant-based burger – and let me tell you, it was so good! The food definitely hit the spot, even though the prices were a little crazy. I saw some items, especially jeans, that were way more expensive than I expected. But hey, festival prices, right?
The performances were everything we’d hoped for and more. The crowd was lit – people were dancing in the aisles, singing karaoke, laughing, and just living in the moment. We bumped into so many familiar faces, which made the experience even more special. There’s just something about being in a space filled with music, joy, and good people that makes you feel completely alive.
After the concert, we wound down for the night with some much-needed rest. I was definitely feeling exhausted but happy. The next morning, I took a little time to record a video, sharing my favorite memories and highlights from the trip – I wanted to hold onto those moments forever.
Before we wrapped up our weekend, we made a quick stop at the local market to stock up on fresh produce for the week ahead. We picked up some bananas, strawberries, tomatoes, and cucumbers – just the basics to reset and get back into our routine after such a fun and busy weekend.
All in all, this trip was everything I needed – full of music, energy, love, and laughter. I’m so thankful we got to experience it together, and I can’t wait for the next adventure.
Thanks for reading, and I’ll see you all again soon!
