A Special Seafood Feast with My Dad: Love, Laughter & Life Lessons

Hey, y’all! I’m feeling so happy and blessed today because I have a very special guest in this video—my dad! 💕 We’re sitting down together to enjoy a delicious seafood feast that includes juicy shrimp, tender crab legs, a squeeze of fresh lemon, and of course, my signature Smackalicious sauce—available now on Amazon! 🙌 Before we even took a bite, we paused to pray and give thanks to God for the food and this beautiful time spent together.

Now let me tell you something funny—Darius doesn’t even like seafood like that! But when the Smackalicious sauce comes out, everything suddenly tastes better. That’s what I love most about it—it brings people together, even those who aren’t seafood lovers. It’s become a staple in our family meals, and watching my dad dive in and enjoy it really warmed my heart.

My dad loves crab. I actually had other plans—I was going to make a fruit tray for him and his wife—but when he saw crab on the TV, he changed his mind quick! 😂 He looked at me and said, “I want that.” And you know what? I couldn’t say no. He was so excited to eat crab, and he even taught me the right way to crack it open to get the best meat out. That moment felt so special—it’s those little father-daughter memories that last a lifetime.

Today, I didn’t wear any makeup because the makeup artist couldn’t make it, but honestly? That didn’t even matter. My dad looked at me and said, “You’re beautiful just the way you are.” 💗 That meant the world to me. We also had a little heart-to-heart about treating ourselves once in a while. Yes, king crab is pricey, but life is short, and sometimes you’ve just got to enjoy the finer things.

Believe it or not, this was the very first time my dad tried those big, juicy king crab legs. And he loved them! Turns out, just like me, he prefers king crab over snow crab. So now we’ve got another thing in common.

We also chatted about how the whole family has been getting more active lately. We’ve been out by the pool, playing basketball and volleyball together—it’s been a blast! Even though Dad pulled a muscle from going hard on the court (he’s competitive, y’all! 😅), he’s still going strong at 66 years old. He always says, “If you don’t use it, you’ll lose it.” And I believe that! Our family genes are strong—we all got his energy and good looks. 😉

Then, Dad got a little deeper and started sharing some wisdom. He talked about the value of family and the power of resilience. Life isn’t always easy, but he reminded me that it’s important to keep pushing forward, forgive people—especially our parents—and never give up. He spoke about being blessed with so many children and grandchildren, something he never expected but is so grateful for. That kind of legacy is powerful.

When it comes to his health, my dad is such an inspiration. He works out every day for about an hour and doesn’t take a single prescription medication. That’s a blessing, and we don’t take it for granted. We’re just thankful that our whole family is healthy and strong.

Thank you all so much for tuning in and spending this moment with us. I hope it reminded you to love on your family, enjoy the little things, and treat yourself now and then—you deserve it. Until next time, stay blessed and stay connected. 💕
