Frequently Asked Questions

How to bake crab?

There are two ways to bake crabs. I like the traditional Chinese method of using a wok. This simple and easy wok-baked crab calls for crabs, a little bit of water and a smoking hot wok. The second method of baking crab is using an oven. Bake the crabs on a baking sheet at 400F for 15 – 20 minutes, or until the shells turn bright orange.

Ingredients

  • 3 blue crabs
  • 3 tablespoons water

Instructions

  • Rinse the crab with cold water and place it in a wok. Add water and cover the wok with its lid.
  • Turn up the heat to high and cook the crab in the wok for 8 minutes, turning the crabs every two minutes and covering the wok to continue cooking. The crabs are done when the shells turn bright orange and release a strong aroma.

  • Add a little more water and continue cooking for a few additional minutes if the crabs are not fully cooked through.
