This was one of the most unforgettable moments of my journey — sitting down with Studio 10 TV News in Australia for an interview I never dreamed would happen. Let me take you behind the scenes and share the heart of that conversation.

"Hi, I’m Bethany from Cincinnati."
That’s how it all began — just a woman with a camera, a passion for cooking, and a dream. I started filming simple cooking videos for YouTube, thinking maybe a few folks would enjoy them. Then one day, I uploaded a seafood boil video. It went viral. Just like that, my life changed.
What I do is called mukbang — or as some call it, an “eat-cast.” It’s more than just eating. It’s about connection. I sit down, enjoy generous portions of food, and talk — about life, love, laughter, and sometimes even the struggles. Over time, I’ve heard from so many people: those battling anxiety, stress, insomnia, or eating disorders — they find comfort in this space we’ve built together.
And here’s the truth:
“At my age, I never imagined becoming a viral sensation. But here I am, living proof that success doesn’t come with an age limit.”
This platform has blessed my life in ways I could never have imagined. The success has brought in millions of dollars — enough for my husband to leave his full-time job and join me on this journey. We’ve turned a family dream into a full-time business.
From that dream, Smackalicious Sauce was born — a bold, flavorful creation inspired by a restaurant butter sauce I once loved. Now, it comes in spicy and garlic flavors and is available right on Amazon. It’s become a staple in kitchens across the country. And yes, it tastes as good as it sounds!
But I didn’t stop there.
I’m now working on a book — not just to share my story, but to empower others. It’s about more than making money; it’s about what to do after the money comes in. How do you make it grow? How do you build a brand you believe in? How do you stay true to yourself through it all?
Most importantly, I want this book to say one thing loud and clear:
No matter your age, background, or past — it is never too late to chase your dream.
From a kitchen in Cincinnati to homes around the world — this journey has been nothing short of a miracle. And I’m just getting started.
