Today felt truly special as I got to sit down with my dad and enjoy a seafood feast together — king crab, shrimp, and a special homemade sauce. It wasn’t just an ordinary meal; it was a moment for us to reflect on memories and share stories about our family.
My Dad
My dad is 66 years old this year, but you’d never guess it by looking at him. He’s still active, strong, and full of youthful energy. What’s even more impressive is that he exercises for about an hour every day — and he doesn’t take any medication at all. That’s something we’re all proud of as a family — good health and strong genes that run through generations.

Lessons From Dad
As we savored our meal, Dad shared some simple yet powerful life lessons:
“Keep it moving.” Life can be tough, but never stop going forward. He always says, “One step a day — just keep moving forward.”
On family, he admitted that he’s made mistakes in the past, but what matters most is that family always stands by you. He encouraged us to forgive our parents for the mistakes they made when they were young — because everyone makes them. The key is to let go and keep going.
On health, he often reminds us, “If you don’t use it, you lose it.” He believes staying active is essential, especially as you get older. Exercise, move your body, and stay in motion — that’s his golden rule.
Family Is Everything
We just came back from a wonderful four-day family vacation. The best part? Everyone got along, no arguments, just laughter and love. Dad has many grandchildren now, and he admitted he never imagined having such a big family — but he calls it a blessing.
As I sat there watching him, I realized how lucky we are — blessed with good health, strong family ties, and love that keeps us together. Dad taught me that no matter what challenges life brings, family is what truly matters most. And today, sharing this meal with him, I felt deeply grateful for every precious moment we still have together.
