Come to Maui with Me

Departure Day – My Birthday Takes Off in the Sky!
Good morning y’all! Welcome back to my latest vlog. Today is my birthday, and my husband and I are flying to Maui, Hawaii! I’m super excited, y’all!
This flight is 10 hours long — yes, TEN HOURS! But thank God we’re flying Delta One, one of the best classes out there. They give you everything — slippers, pillows, blankets, even toothbrushes. I also brought my own big, cozy blanket just in case.
Since we’re vegetarians, we pre-ordered vegetarian meals. If you have a special diet, make sure to order ahead too!
Our plan is to try to sleep on the plane so we can adjust to the time zone. Hawaii is 6 hours behind Cincinnati (where we live), so we’re getting our bodies ready early.

Landing in Honolulu – Aloha!
Y’all, we just landed! We look a little tired after 10 hours in the air, but I’m so excited! We’re now at the Honolulu airport and about to catch our connecting flight to Maui.
Oh my goodness, it’s HOT! It’s around 80°F here — warm and humid, and I can already feel that island stickiness. My husband is over here trying to take his jacket off in the heat.
But honestly, the 10-hour flight wasn’t bad at all. Being able to lay flat and sleep made it go by quick. The real challenge will be the flight back — no Delta One, and we’ll have to take 2–3 connecting flights, about 5 hours each. Lord help us!
It’s funny because right now it’s 11 PM back in Cincinnati, but here it’s only about 4 or 5 PM. Time zones are wild!

Check-in at the Resort – Aloha Spirit!
We’re here, y’all! We finally made it to the resort! I’m beyond excited!
Look at this — they greeted us with real fresh flower leis. So beautiful and welcoming!
We’re staying here for 9 full days — NINE DAYS, y’all! I can’t wait, I just can’t!
The staff is walking us to our room, and it overlooks both the ocean and the pool. It’s stunning! They even reminded us not to call home too early in the morning — everyone back home is still asleep because of the time difference!

The First Few Days – Tranquil & Peaceful
Good morning, y’all! What a beautiful morning! We’re having such an amazing time here.
Just look at this view — isn’t it gorgeous? I know we’ll be filming more later, but for now, I just want to show you around the resort.
My husband said it perfectly: tranquil. Peaceful. This place is truly calm and quiet — the perfect spot to chill, meditate, pray, and just reset your soul.
We’ll be showing you a few more spots, but most of this trip is about relaxing. Not a lot of filming, just resting. I’ll still show y’all some food, but really, this time is about being still, being present, and leaving behind all that daily hustle.
I hope you can do the same wherever you are — live in the moment, be present, and always keep God first!

Outfit of the Day & Beach Time
Hey y’all! Today’s outfit is from Chico’s, and my shoes are from Amazon — super comfy! Amazon’s got so many colors, don’t sleep on it!
We just finished breakfast and now we’re strolling along the beach. After our morning prayer, we’re just walking with God, like in that poem “Footprints in the Sand.” We’re so thankful for the blessing of being here — truly blessed to experience this beauty.
It’s about 75–76°F, just perfect for a walk. I know y’all are wondering why I’m wearing long pants, but honestly, it’s not hot enough yet for swimming. Perfect weather for a calm beach stroll!

Helicopter Tour Prep – The Day Before My Birthday
Good morning YouTube! What a gorgeous day! I’m on my way to breakfast and I had to show y’all my outfit because I know you love to see it!
My top is from Chico’s, pants and shoes from Amazon — the full fit!
Today we’re going on a helicopter tour to see waterfalls and all that island beauty. I’m so excited! And guess what — tomorrow’s my birthday! I’m turning 47, and I’m so thankful to God for 47 beautiful years of life.
I’m a little out of breath, not sure why — maybe it’s the air here — but I’m okay! The weather is just perfect.
We’re having breakfast with a waterfall view — absolutely stunning! The tour lasts about 75 minutes, but the whole thing, from breakfast to return, takes around 4.5 hours. Gotta eat well before we go!

My Birthday – Luau Night!
We’re here, and y’all, it’s MY BIRTHDAY!
We just arrived at the luau spot — it’s super windy, but I’m so excited! I’ll show y’all around once everything starts. There’ll be Hawaiian dances and traditional performances.
My husband even got me a pink birthday gift — y’all know I love pink! So sweet, thank you baby!
The luau was amazing — the performances, the music, the energy. Such a beautiful Hawaiian night. Truly a birthday to remember!

Helicopter Tour – The Best Experience Ever!
Hey yo, what’s up! We just got off the helicopter, and when I tell y’all it was BEAUTIFUL — I mean it was breathtaking!
Absolutely amazing, I promise you. God’s creation is beyond words — you HAVE to see it for yourself. Seriously, put this on your bucket list.
This was hands-down the best trip I’ve ever taken — 100%! We were flying over the edge of the ocean, crossing over to another island beyond Maui.
Look at that view! Those mountains, those cliffs — just incredible! We just landed, and I’m still in awe.

Final Thoughts
Y’all, this trip was truly unforgettable. My very first time in Hawaii, and it went above and beyond everything I imagined.
As you know, when I’m on vacation, I don’t film a lot — I like to be in vacation mode: resting, sleeping, eating, and enjoying time with my husband. But I still wanted to capture some moments to share with y’all.
Thank you for following along on my Maui birthday journey. Remember — live in the moment, be present, and always put God first!
I love y’all! See you in the next video!
