Hey y’all! Today I wanna share something super special that my husband planned just for me.
Starting Off with a Little Sadness
That morning, I woke up feeling kinda down. I had just filmed a long seafood boil video—took me almost 50 minutes to finish—but when I went back to check it, there was no sound. I was honestly heartbroken and cried a lot because all that hard work felt wasted.

A Sweet Surprise from My Family
Luckily, my son and my husband turned my day around. They threw me a little surprise party to celebrate my channel hitting 1 million subscribers—with a beautiful cake and all! My son, Darius, even took me out to see Wicked and treated me to dinner. Y’all, that movie was EVERYTHING—10 outta 10, no question! It’s definitely a must-watch.
A Surprise Getaway with My Husband
Then my husband—Nate—told me he had a surprise overnight trip planned for just the two of us. I had no clue where we were going, but I was excited!
A Ride in the Ferrari
We hopped into our Ferrari Spider—the weather was so beautiful that day, especially after a streak of snowy days. Nate looked so handsome in the sunlight, I just had to compliment him! We even dropped the top on the car for a bit, even though it was a little chilly.
On the way, we talked about the new Ferrari I ordered—it’s probably gonna take about a year and a half before it’s ready. But that’s okay! I can wait patiently.
A Beautiful Hotel Stay
We arrived at this gorgeous hotel that had both a restaurant and a rooftop lounge. Sadly, the rooftop was closed, but the weather was still pretty mild. Our room was super cozy—it had a fridge but no microwave, which wasn’t really a big deal.
Our Chill Evening Plans
We made dinner reservations at the hotel restaurant for 6 PM, which was perfect—no driving needed afterward. Our plan was simple: eat, relax, maybe watch a movie, and go to bed early. Exactly what we needed after some hectic days.
A Dinner to Remember
When dinner time rolled around, we had a “special guest” at the table—Mr. Penguin the stuffed penguin! 😂 I ordered a whole bunch of veggies—carrots, cabbage, potatoes, cauliflower, buttered squash, and creamed spinach. Nate ordered a rib-eye steak, and I chose tuna with grits.
Surprisingly, all the veggies were so good! I basically devoured every bite and barely touched the tuna. Nate wasn’t too thrilled with his steak though—he felt like it needed more seasoning.
That Cheesecake Though…
At first, we said no to dessert, but the waitress kept recommending their cheesecake, saying it was a fan favorite. We finally gave in—and OH MY GOODNESS! I only planned to take a tiny bite since I don’t like sweets much, but we ended up eating the whole thing! The waitress came back shocked because she thought we were gonna take it to-go. We even ordered two more slices to bring back to the room!
Ending the Night Just Right
After dinner, we headed back to our room and just enjoyed our time together. It truly turned out to be a perfect day—from a rough start to sweet family moments, and finally, a romantic little getaway with my man.
I feel so blessed to have a husband who knows exactly how to lift me up when I’m down. It’s the simple, thoughtful moments like these that mean the most in life.
