I’ve Seen Too Much, Baby
Listen, the reason I feel so strongly about this is because I’ve watched my friends and family take those meds. Y’all, it’s not a pretty sight. Some are younger than me, some just a little older, but baby… they’ve lost their spark.
They look drained, depressed, going through things you don’t ever want to witness. I don’t like seeing my people like that. I don’t want to see anyone I care about living like that.

How My Life Feels Right Now
I’m used to waking up happy, full of energy. Baby, I can’t imagine living a life where I feel bad every single day.
That’s like being sick all the time. Like having a cold that never ends. Do you know how I feel when I just catch a cold? I haven’t been sick in a whole year! The last time I got sick was when I went to Washington, D.C.—and honey, that cold was awful. I was down for a few days and thought I was losing my mind.
Okay, I went crazy. But other than that, I’ve been healthy. I’ve been drinking my soursop, y’all.
What I Take Every Day
Listen, here’s what I do daily:

Excuse me—said a piggy—and um, I gotta make sure my numbers are good, y’all. Because I’ve got things to do.
I’ll Be a Living Testimony
I’ll be that woman—the one who can say, for real—that I’ve never taken a pharmaceutical drug in my life. Okay?
