Hey, y’all!
I’m so excited to share something special with you today. I had the pleasure of filming a fruit mukbang video with someone very close to our family—Danita, my dad’s amazing wife. This video wasn’t just about enjoying delicious fruit—it was also a chance for you all to get to know Danita on a deeper level, hear her story, and understand just how much she means to us.
Let me give you a little background. Danita and my dad have actually been together for a long time—15 years to be exact—and they’ve been happily married since 2011. Their love story is one of those unexpected, meant-to-be moments that just makes you smile. Danita shared the day they first met, and it was back on March 22nd. She was walking near 74th Street and Hosted when she noticed some suspicious people following her. She felt unsafe and genuinely feared she was about to get robbed. In that moment, she saw my dad sitting in a van, and without hesitation, she walked up to him and asked, “Do you want to make two bucks?” That question might sound simple, even funny, but it changed both of their lives. From that moment forward, they’ve been inseparable. Isn’t that wild?
Danita’s journey is truly incredible. She spent 12 years serving in the military, during which she traveled across Europe and took part in the Gulf War. That level of commitment, strength, and service deserves so much respect. On top of that, she comes from a close-knit family based in Buffalo, New York. Sadly, her family recently experienced a devastating tragedy—her sister-in-law, Geraldine Tally, was one of the innocent lives lost during the horrific mass shooting in Buffalo. Although Danita and Geraldine hadn’t seen each other in 20 years, the loss hit their family hard, especially her brother. It’s a reminder of how precious life is and how important it is to hold loved ones close.
One thing that really touched me during our conversation was how much Danita genuinely loves our family. She spoke with so much affection about my dad’s kids—saying Jason, in particular, is a spitting image of our father. From our facial features to the way we smile, Danita pointed out the little details that connect us as a family—our noses, our lips, even our cheeks. It’s those small things that mean so much.
My dad and Danita are still going strong. They’re full of joy and still talk about spending many more years together—hopefully another 15 and beyond. My dad, despite having some back issues from an old basketball injury, stays committed to his health by working out at home every day. That’s just who he is—strong, active, and full of life.
Introducing Danita to all of you means a lot to me. She’s not just my dad’s wife—she’s a powerful, kind, and inspiring woman who brings so much love into our family. My dad has had relationships before, but none have lasted as long or brought him as much peace and happiness as his marriage to Danita. They’re truly a beautiful couple, and I feel blessed to have her in our lives.
Thanks for taking the time to watch the video and hear her story. I hope you fall in love with her spirit just like we have.
