Hey y’all, it’s ya girl! 💕 Today I’m bringing you something y’all been asking for — the Smackalicious sauce with a twist: added onions!
But before we get into that, let me just say — I had one of the most beautiful moments with my son recently. We took a trip to Indianapolis to witness the eclipse together. It was breathtaking. He actually uploaded a video on his channel, and while I got some footage too, I’m letting his version shine — that moment was his. ❤️

Now let’s get to the flavor y’all love. I’ve been hearing nothing but love from those who’ve tried my Smackalicious sauce, and it warms my heart every time. 🙏🏾 But for all my onion-lovers out there — this one’s for you.
So here’s the deal: the factory wasn’t able to cut long strips of onion — something about the machines getting jammed or twisted. But baby, that don’t mean you can’t! You can totally add your own at home and take that sauce to another level.
Here’s how I do it:
-
Start small. Use a little pan — don’t overdo it, or you’ll overpower the sauce.
-
Go stovetop. You can microwave, but for me, stovetop brings out a deeper, richer flavor.
-
Thin slice that onion. I use about ¼ to ½ of a yellow onion, sliced nice and thin — but if chunky’s your thing, go for it!
-
Butter it up. I drop 1 to 2 tablespoons of butter in that pan and sauté the onions until they’re soft and starting to caramelize. That’s where the flavor lives.
-
Plant-based folks, I see you. If butter ain’t your jam, go with a splash of veggie broth instead. The sauce is already vegetarian — let’s keep it friendly!
-
No crunch. No raw. Soft and golden, baby. Once the onions are sautéed, stir them into the heated sauce and let them soak up that bold flavor.
This small step turns the sauce from wow to whoa. It’s so rich, savory, and comforting — like something your grandma would’ve cooked up with love. 💯
Lastly — and this comes from my heart — thank you. To everyone who’s ever shown support, purchased the sauce, or sent a kind message... I see you. I appreciate you. Keep God first in everything you do, and trust that the best is yet to come.
Peace, blessings, and flavor always,
