Hey beautiful people! 💕 Right now, we're sitting down enjoying some delicious sushi at Tingi Sushi — but my mind is somewhere else. I can’t stop thinking about a video I watched earlier today. It really shook something inside me. And I feel led to share this with y’all because it might just shift your perspective too.
I sent the video to Nate — my husband — right after I watched it. It was about a woman in her 40s who tragically passed away in her sleep... all because of overworking. Just hearing that broke my heart. But watching it? That felt like someone just slapped me across the face, waking me up from this routine we often call “success.”

We always wear the word hustler like a badge of honor. We take pride in saying, “I’m grinding, I’m getting it, I’m sacrificing sleep for the dream.” But what’s the dream if we don’t live long enough to enjoy it?
After that video, Nate and I had one of the realest conversations we’ve had in a long time — about finances, our future, and more importantly, our health. We looked at each other and said, “Maybe 60 is too late to start living. Maybe 55 is where we draw the line.”
So yes, we’re planning to retire five years earlier than we originally thought. And I’m not talking about never creating content again — no, y’all still gon’ see me! But my focus is shifting. I’m no longer willing to work myself into the ground until there’s no more me left to give. I’ve seen too many people grind themselves into illness, into hospital beds, or worse — the grave.
I’ve come to realize that rest is not a reward. It’s a right. And from now on, I’m honoring that right.
These days, our conversations at home have changed. We’re talking about slowing down. About healing. About getting our hands dirty in the garden, growing our own vegetables, cooking wholesome meals together. We're starting to design a life where we can actually live, not just survive.
So yes — you're going to see a new kind of content from me. Not less love, not less flavor, but more of the life behind the camera. Less seafood feasts and more garden-to-table cooking, home moments, and peaceful vibes. It’s still me. Still Bloves. But from a place of balance and intention.
That woman’s story was a heartbreaking reminder that tomorrow isn’t promised — not even the next hour is. So while we’re all busy chasing dreams, let’s not forget to take care of our bodies, our minds, our families... our joy.
I truly hope my story today makes you pause and ask yourself:
Am I living the life I want? Or am I racing so fast that I’m missing the beauty of now?
