Hey y’all! It’s Bloveslife here, and today I’m so excited to share a little piece of my home with you – a journey that’s been filled with patience, purpose, and a whole lot of love.
Over the past few weeks, I’ve been working hard on refreshing and redesigning the bedrooms in our home – not just for comfort, but to create a space that truly reflects who we are as a family. I’ve poured my heart into every corner, every color choice, and every detail because this isn’t just about décor – it’s about building a space that brings peace, warmth, and spiritual joy into our everyday lives.
Now, let me be clear – I’m not the kind of person who changes up my home with every new season or trend. I believe in creating something meaningful and lasting. What you’ll see today is designed to stay just the way it is for a long, long time… or as I like to say, until the Lord calls me home!
Let’s start this little tour in the hallway, where I placed one of the most precious photos I own – a beautiful memory of me and my husband from our vow renewal ceremony in Las Vegas. Every time I walk past that photo, I’m reminded of God’s grace and the love we’ve chosen to nurture. The quote on the frame says, “A perfect marriage is simply two imperfect people refusing to give up on each other,” and that couldn’t be more true for us.
Moving on to the first bedroom, I went with a bold and joyful yellow-and-black theme. Y’all, I love how this room turned out! I brought in a stylish chair that adds such a cozy touch, a stunning oversized mirror, and some yellow candles that glow beautifully in the evening light. The centerpiece of the room is a framed Bible verse from Joshua 24:15: “But as for me and my family, we will serve the Lord.” That verse is the heart of our home. I’m even thinking about adding a little step stool next to the bed because, let’s be honest, most of my family members aren’t exactly tall – we’re talking 4 to 5 feet – so that little step will be a big help!
Next, let’s walk into the second bedroom, which I’ve lovingly named “The Golden Years.” This room has a soft, vintage elegance to it. I reused a set of beautiful mirrors that used to hang in our master bathroom – they found new life here! I also added a 15-drawer chest I discovered on TikTok Shop (yes, TikTok came through for me!) and a sleek glass wardrobe with bronze trimming. It just arrived, and thankfully, the delivery service handled the setup for me – stress-free and seamless!
Now, the third bedroom has a shimmering silver theme, and while it’s not fully finished yet, I can already feel the vibe coming together. I plan to install some modern wall shelves, add a couple of elegant paintings, and place large artificial plants in the corners for that lush, cozy feel. The main statement in this room will be a beautiful wall art piece featuring Psalm 46:10: “Be still and know that I am God.” It’s a reminder to breathe, pause, and rest in His presence.
One thing I’m proud of throughout this process is how I’ve repurposed many of the items I already had. I’ve always believed in being mindful with spending, so instead of replacing everything, I reused what I could. Most of the furniture and accents came from Amazon, Wayfair, and At Home – places I trust and shop from regularly.
Of course, a few pieces are still on the way – I’ve been waiting on some international orders that have had a few hiccups. In fact, I even had to get a lawyer involved to help resolve a shipping issue. But I’m holding onto patience, because when I have a vision in my heart, I don’t settle. I want the exact pieces that match what I’m trying to create.
So, what do y’all think? I would love to hear your feedback – any suggestions, thoughts, or ideas you may have. This has been a personal and spiritual project for me, and I’ve enjoyed every moment of it. Most of all, I hope this inspires you to make your own space feel like home – a place filled with faith, love, and beauty.
Thank you so much for following along. Remember to always keep God at the center of everything you do. I love y’all so much, and I can’t wait to share more with you next time.
Love always,
Bloveslife
