Y’all… I have to tell you about this nightmare I had. It was honestly one of the most terrifying dreams I’ve ever experienced. I was sitting down eating with Zaddy when the memory of it came rushing back, and I just had to share it with him.

Now, before the dream, I’d watched a movie about a mental institution, and I think that must’ve seeped into my subconscious. That night, I dreamed I was taken to a psych hospital. I have no idea why, but in the dream, I decided I had to escape. I was running full speed, trying to get out of there with everything I had. Somewhere along the way, I hurt my leg—maybe it was cut or something sharp got me.
When I told Zaddy this part, he looked at me and asked if I wanted to know what the dream meant. I said yes. And his response? He laughed and said, “You’re crazy!” 😳 I had to laugh too, because of how he said it, but a part of me was lowkey concerned!
The scariest part was waking up. That feeling was too real. I woke up in a full-blown panic, sweating from head to toe, and burning hot. When I tried to get out of bed to use the bathroom, I was literally limping—like my leg was still hurting from the dream. Y’all… that shook me!
I asked Zaddy if he ever had dreams that felt that real. He said maybe, but he usually forgets them. He told me everybody has nightmares, but if you don’t remember them, they pass.
I told him I honestly don’t even like dreaming. If there was a button I could press to turn off dreams altogether, I’d press it without hesitation. He asked, “Even the good dreams?” And I said yes—because the scary ones stick with me. They haunt me.
What’s interesting is Zaddy sees it differently. He told me he wouldn’t want to shut off his dreams, because sometimes they feel spiritual to him, like glimpses into the future. But for me? I just want to sleep in peace!
I asked if he thought the dream meant anything. He said maybe sometimes dreams do, but not always. Still, I can’t help wondering what that nightmare was trying to tell me.
Even now, I remember that feeling of waking up in sheer panic. It’s one of the scariest sleep experiences I’ve ever had. And Zaddy calling me “crazy” just got me more anxious about my own mind! 😅
Have y’all ever had a dream that felt so real it messed with your whole day?
