Hey everyone! Today, I want to open up about something many of you have been curious about — how much money I’ve actually made from YouTube.
Yes, you heard that right. My highest month ever on YouTube was over $173,000, all from YouTube revenue alone — not including brand deals, sponsorships, or income from my B Love’s Life Sauce line. This happened back in the early years of my channel, and it was truly a blessing.
During that time, I was earning incredible amounts of money, but I’ll be honest — things have changed since then. After the pandemic, a lot of YouTube creators saw their income drop. Whether it’s due to changes in the algorithm or advertisers, I can’t say for sure. But thankfully, I’m still earning a consistent income from the platform.

After six years on YouTube, I can confidently say this has been the best job of my life. You’re your own boss — no one to answer to, no deadlines unless you set them. But to succeed long-term, you must be smart about your money. Here are my biggest lessons:
My husband and I made a wise choice by launching B Love’s Sauce. That business gave us steady income outside of YouTube, so we wouldn’t rely solely on ad revenue. When you’re making good money, find a niche or product that can grow into a long-term business.
Don’t rent if you can help it. Buy your home and own it outright. That’s real security and a true asset.
This is so important! YouTube doesn’t take out taxes for you — it’s your responsibility to pay the IRS and stay on top of your payments.
Put your money into stocks, life insurance, or other assets that can secure your family’s future. Think long-term and build generational wealth.
Yes, I’ll get older someday too! That’s why I make sure to save for retirement so I can maintain my lifestyle later on. With inflation and rising costs, budgeting and saving are crucial.
I started YouTube at 40, and honestly, that was the perfect time for me. If I’d started in my 20s, I probably wouldn’t have made the same smart financial decisions.
Every creator experiences burnout. That’s why multiple income streams are essential. Once you have your own product or business, you can post less — maybe 1 to 3 videos per week — without stressing about money.
You HAVE to be able to handle criticism. People will talk about you, lie about you, or judge you. Don’t waste your time clapping back at drama. Let them talk — and keep making your money.
Here’s a tip most people don’t know: engagement = money. The more comments, the more revenue potential. Don’t delete negative comments or block too many people — you’re literally deleting your engagement (and income!).
I used to block and delete, but those same people just made new accounts and came back. So I was wasting my time — and losing money.
Once you hit 100K subscribers, reach out to a YouTube Manager. They’ll help you understand your analytics, optimize your videos, increase watch time, and keep viewers engaged longer.
YouTube is truly a profitable business if you stay consistent, build your brand, and ignore the noise. Be yourself, invest wisely, and always put God first in everything you do.
I promised that if my video hits 20,000 likes, I’ll reveal my total lifetime YouTube earnings. And if you’re interested, I’ll also share insights about my B Love’s Sauce business!
Love y’all! ❤️
