Y’all, let me tell you about this amazing encounter I had on the Star of the Seas! So there I was, walking around trying to get some footage when I bumped into none other than KC Connection – and honey, let me tell you, this girl is the QUEEN of cruising!

Meeting the Cruise Queen – KC Connection
I literally ran into her while I was recording in the dining area, and y’all, I was so excited! This woman is like the cruise captain herself with how much she knows. When I tell you she’s been on 13 cruises this year alone – THIRTEEN! – I’m trying to get like her, for real.
KC Connection is the one you want to reach out to if you have ANY questions about cruising. She knows everything – what’s going to be on the ship, what’s happening where, the who’s who, the what’s what. I promise you, she will tell you everything you need to know. She’s very thorough with her videos and content.
We kept running into each other throughout the cruise, and every time it was just pure joy. She’s all about her peace, y’all. This woman values her peace, and she’ll be out on that water playing her worship music, doing her thing. She’s got that energy that matches mine – we both understand that vacation is about relaxing and enjoying life.
Highlights You Can’t Miss
Lincoln Supper Club – Next-Level Experience
Y’all, if you don’t do anything else on this ship, you MUST try the Lincoln Supper Club. When I tell you this is the best dinner experience we’ve ever had in our lives, I mean it! This Chicago-themed restaurant is on another level – seven courses with wine pairings, and every course comes with its own special cocktail and music selection.
Our server Talia from Trinidad was absolutely phenomenal – pure Black excellence in action. She knew every single ingredient, every pairing, and when the music got loud, she just smiled, paused gracefully, and waited for it to lower before continuing. That’s five-star service right there!
And listen – don’t even think about pregaming before you go to the Lincoln Supper Club. We had champagne, cocktails, everything included, and honey, they are not playing with these drinks. You will not make it out if you pregame!
Chops Steakhouse – A Must-Have Experience
Chops is all that and then some! When I tell you it’s worth every penny, baby, you’re going to get a prime, good cut steak. All the food was delicious, every side was perfect – bone appetit for real!
The Aquadome Area – Hidden Gem for Relaxation
A lot of people don’t know about this area, but the Aquadome is where you want to chill when others are off the boat. It’s got gorgeous views, cozy seating, and even a movie screen. This is where we took our anniversary pictures, and it’s just perfect for relaxing.
Windjammer Buffet – Five-Star Quality
Listen, if you’re a foodie, you need to be here, honey. When I say five-star quality, I mean it – better than any cruise line I’ve been on. They even have themed nights like Caribbean night, and baby, the variety is out of this world.
Perfect Day at CocoCay
The island experience is something else! They’ve got bars everywhere where you can use your drink package, free food at multiple spots, and so many activities. But let me tell you, when you get to Captain Jack’s on Chill Island, do yourself a favor and get some wings – I asked for extra crispy, and they gave me exactly what I wanted.
Words from the Heart
At our age, me and my husband just want to sit, relax, and eat. That’s vacation for us. We’ve done all the excursions, lived that life, and now we appreciate the finer things – spa days, wine tastings, chef’s tables, cooking classes. That’s what we spend our money on now.
Y’all, this ship is so big you don’t even feel like you’re moving. Don’t be scared of motion sickness or falling off – you’re probably safer on this boat than you are on land!
But the most important thing I want y’all to know is this: just come and have fun. I don’t care what ship you go on, just come and have fun. I want people to enjoy their life. Life is too short not to treat yourself to these experiences.
And remember, if you want the real tea about cruising, go check out KC Connection’s channels – both her main channel and her cruise vlogs. She’s got 64 cruises under her belt and counting. That woman is about to run it up, and I’m trying to be like her!
Peace and blessings, y’all. Captain V Love signing off!
