A Cozy Holiday Getaway: Our Nashville Adventure Filled with Music, Food, and Fun

Hi everyone!
Today, I’m so excited to take you along on our recent trip to Nashville, Tennessee — a city that’s been on my travel list for quite some time. From the moment we arrived to the time we headed back home, every part of the experience was filled with excitement, new discoveries, and unforgettable memories. Let me walk you through the highlights of our mini adventure!

Day One: Arriving in Music City

After a long drive through the scenic highways, my husband and I finally made it to Nashville. I have to admit, I looked a little tired and my hair wasn’t exactly camera-ready after the journey, but I didn’t care — I was just so happy to finally be there! The energy of the city was buzzing, and I couldn’t wait to dive in and explore everything Nashville had to offer.

We checked into our hotel, which turned out to be small but surprisingly charming. The room was very clean, and it had all the essentials we needed to feel at home. I did a quick video tour of our space — from the cute little kitchenette with a fridge and microwave to the cozy living area and comfy bed. For me, cleanliness and convenience are always at the top of my list when traveling, and this place checked all the boxes.

This trip had a special purpose: we were there to attend Sonia’s Christmas concert — something I’d been looking forward to for weeks!

Day Two: Festive Vibes and Foodie Moments

The next morning, I got dressed in a sleek black lace jumpsuit from Fashion Nova. I felt confident and ready for a day filled with holiday cheer. Our first stop was a Christmas pop-up shop event, which had the perfect blend of festive spirit and fun. There were so many amazing vendors, decorations, and people full of joy. I made sure to capture as many fun moments on camera as I could — everything felt so alive and vibrant.

Once the event wrapped up, my husband and I were both ready for some good food. I had my heart set on trying the soul food at QC Kitchen — I’d read great reviews and had been craving it for days. But, unfortunately, when we arrived, we discovered they were closed that day. I was definitely disappointed, but I reminded myself not to let that small hiccup ruin a beautiful day.

Instead, we headed over to Eddie V’s Prime Seafood for lunch. It turned out to be a fantastic choice! The ambiance was upscale and inviting, and the food was top-tier. We enjoyed a delicious meal and took some time to relax before heading back out to explore more of the city.

Exploring Nashville’s Charm

After lunch, we took a casual stroll through downtown Nashville. The city had such a unique charm, blending rich musical history with modern energy. Some of the places we visited included:

  • The Amplified Museum Store – filled with fun music-themed gifts and collectibles.

  • The National Museum of African American Music – this was a powerful and inspiring experience. The exhibits were beautifully done and deeply educational.

  • Legends Corner – an iconic stop that’s a must for any music lover visiting Nashville.

  • Various street shops and attractions – we wandered into a few boutiques, art shops, and quirky little places that gave us a taste of Nashville’s creative spirit.

My husband, who’s a huge car enthusiast, was in heaven! Nashville had all kinds of unique cars on the streets, and he spent a good chunk of time snapping pictures and admiring their designs.

Final Day: Bittersweet Goodbyes

Before we knew it, it was already time to head home. That morning, we packed our bags, said goodbye to our cozy hotel room, and hit the road with full hearts and big smiles. Even though the trip was short, it left a lasting impression on both of us.

We’re already making plans to return in the spring — this time for a full week! Our goal is to really dive deep into the city’s musical history by visiting more museums, attending live performances, and of course, trying out even more of the local restaurants (hopefully QC Kitchen will be open next time!).

Thanks so much for following along with my Nashville travel diary. I can’t wait to share our next adventure with you — until then, take care and stay inspired!
