What Is Sweeties Day?
For those who might not know, Sweeties Day is a day dedicated to honoring and appreciating the men in our lives. We women have so many holidays throughout the year — Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, birthdays, and more. Of course, men have Father’s Day, but let’s be honest — Mother’s Day usually gets the bigger celebration, right?
That’s why Sweeties Day is such a wonderful opportunity for us to take the time and effort to create a meaningful day for the man we love and cherish.

I didn’t go overboard or buy anything extravagant, but I wanted each gift to have meaning — to show my husband how much I care. Here’s what I got him:

I have to admit — I had a few drinks that night (not too much, just enough to feel a little extra cheerful!). I even prepared a special outfit to surprise him. He had no clue what I was planning until I walked downstairs and he saw everything.
His reaction was priceless — the surprised look in his eyes, that happy smile — it was everything I needed to know my effort was worth it.
Family Moments
The funny part is, our sons — Darius and Zaddy — were home too. We ended up having some hilarious conversations about... drinking! Darius reminded me of my college days and how to pace myself. He kept telling me to drink some water before having another glass — I must admit, my son is quite responsible!
We even talked about their personalities when they drink. Zaddy stays calm and chill, while Dalvin gets all fun and loud, saying things like, “Where my mommy at?” — which had everyone laughing so hard!
