BLovesLife’s Ultimate Seafood Sauce Recipe (Non-Spicy + Spicy Version!)
Hey my loves! 💋 It’s your girl BLovesLife, and today we are going straight into the kitchen to whip up something y’all have been asking me about forever—my famous seafood sauce! Yep, the one you see me dip those juicy crab legs into, the one that brings all that flavor to my mukbangs. Well, I’m about to show y’all how to make it from scratch—step by step, just how I do it at home.
This version is non-spicy to start, so everyone can enjoy it—but don’t worry, I always add a spicy twist for my bowl at the end, because y’all know I love me some heat! 🌶🔥

💡 A Quick Note Before We Start:
If you’ve already ordered or received my Smackalicious Seasoning Mix, you’re in luck—that’s gonna be the base of our sauce. But listen: you can totally adjust it to your own liking. Whether you’re team spicy, no sugar, or want a vegan version—this is your playground. I’m making a big batch today because I like to keep mine in the fridge for up to 1–2 weeks. It’s perfect for seafood, noodles, rice, and more!
🧄 Ingredients You’ll Need:
Feel free to play around with quantities—this is a forgiving recipe.
-
1 stick of unsalted butter (or more if you’re feelin’ fancy)
-
Minced garlic – one pack (optional, but you know garlic makes everything better)
-
Pik Sushi – one jar (optional, adds umami)
-
Onions – as many as you want! (I like 3 to 4, but some folks go all the way to 8!)
-
1 tablespoon of Nori (seaweed flakes)
-
Chicken powder – this gives it that rich, savory base
-
1 cup of water (or chicken broth if you want deeper flavor)
-
2 tablespoons of brown sugar (optional – or swap with white sugar or none at all)
-
1 cup of Coca-Cola (optional – yes, Coke! It brings sweetness and depth)
-
1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar (or plain vinegar is fine)
-
Juice of 1 fresh lemon
-
"Two Times Spicy" hot sauce – one bottle (optional – tone it down if needed)
-
Smackalicious Seasoning Mix – the heart of this sauce
-
Roasted red bell peppers, sliced (trying these out and loving the color & texture!)
👩🏽🍳 How to Put It All Together:
-
Melt your butter in a deep pan over medium heat.
-
Add minced garlic and chopped onions, and sauté until they smell heavenly.
-
Stir in your Smackalicious Mix and let the spices wake up in that hot butter.
-
Add the chicken powder, nori, and all the liquid ingredients—water or broth, lemon juice, vinegar, Coke, and any hot sauce you like.
-
Add the brown sugar to balance out the tang and spice.
-
Finally, drop in those roasted red bell peppers and any other extras you love.
Let the whole thing simmer for 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally. The sauce should be thick, aromatic, and packed with flavor by the end.
⚠️ A Friendly PSA:
Look y’all—I know someone gonna say “That’s a lot of sodium!” but let’s keep it real. When you’re eating out at a seafood restaurant, do you think they’re measuring salt? Nope! They go all in with the butter, salt, and seasoning. This sauce ain’t no different. Just use it in moderation, and if you're concerned, dilute it with more broth or water. Easy fix.
💬 Final Thoughts from Your Girl:
Whether you’re new to this sauce or you’ve been watching me for years, I hope this recipe brings you joy, flavor, and that extra something to your seafood boils.
