My Wig Story: From "Never" to Selling Hundreds Each Live
Hello everyone! Today while I was sitting and doing a mukbang, I want to share with you about the wonderful wig I'm wearing and the interesting story behind it.
The $28 Wig That Shocked Me
Look at my hair! This is a synthetic wig that costs only $28. Not full lace, not real hair, but oh my — I have never seen synthetic hair this beautiful in my life!
Let me tell you. This wig company sent me a bunch of wigs from TikTok Shop. They make the wigs with some special fiber, and the result is... WOW!

Standout Features
Smart design:
-
Glueless - no glue needed at all!
-
Has a lace part in the middle that can be customized by plucking
-
Pre-bleached, pre-plucked already
-
3 combs: 2 in the front, 1 in the back
-
Adjustable strap in the back (not the big strap type but still okay)
-
Big head friendly, small head friendly - fits anyone!
Quality:
-
Unbelievably soft - I can run my hand through it without tangling
-
Voluminous, has natural bounce
-
Heat resistant from 100–300 degrees (do not use 400–500 degrees, okay)
-
Almost no shedding - only very little compared to real hair
How Do I Put This On?
I'm serious — I just slap this wig on my head! No glue, no wax, no tinting the lace, NOTHING! Just a wig cap underneath. And yet it holds so tightly.
If you want to make it even prettier you can:
-
Pluck more of the lace part to create a more natural part
-
Apply concealer
-
Create baby hair
-
Use tint spray for the lace part
-
Do makeup properly
But honestly, wearing it like this already looks very pretty!
Why Winter Is the Perfect Time for Wigs
You know, winter is the best time to wear wigs because:
-
You can wear a hat over it to hide imperfect parts
-
It protects your real hair from harsh weather
-
If you're growing your hair out, or just cut it short, or have starter locs and don't want to reveal them — this is the perfect solution!
And most importantly: You don't need to spend a lot of money! Under $30 and you get hair like this.
The "I'll Never Sell Synthetic Hair" Story
Let me tell you a funny story. My agent tried to convince me to sell wigs for a long time, especially synthetic and braided hair. But I kept saying NO.
"Synthetic wigs? No way! My customers won't like synthetic hair that sheds all over and looks fake!"
Do you know when I last bought synthetic hair? 25–30 YEARS AGO! Back then synthetic hair felt like plastic — terrible!
Turning Point
So what did my agent do, you know? He brought me samples - two braided wigs shipped from China to my showroom.
I tried on one braided wig and... "You kidding me?!" — I was shocked!
It was full lace, priced under $40 (original $80 but I had a huge discount for the livestream). I thought: "Okay, this will sell well!"
Explosive Results
First time: I sold more than 500 braided wigs in one live!
Second time: They sent me a Bohemian braided wig (full lace), with a Pre-Black Friday deal for only $27 (original $80). I sold more than 800 in one live!
After that they started sending me a bunch of colorful synthetic wigs — purple, green, blue... At first I thought "Who would wear these?" but my audience LOVED those colors!
They wanted green hair, purple hair, lime hair, two-tone styles... I thought that trend was over but it wasn't! So I said "Say less!" and started selling them.
Wig Colors That Suit Women of Color
This is my personal experience:
Colors I like:
-
Red - women of color look very beautiful in red!
-
Ombré - I like this the most because it's not too "much", it's just right
-
Blonde with burnt yellow and mixed red
-
Lavender - I never tried it but it actually looks good!
-
Orange - I tried a full orange wig on live, it looked okay!
Colors I don't dare try:
-
All-yellow (full yellow) - I've never pulled that off
-
Colors that are too bright without ombré
But overall, if you know makeup and styling, you can do a lot with these wigs!
My Advice
If you care for synthetic wigs properly, they will take care of you! Even if you only wear them 10–20 times a month at under $30, you've already broken even!
Right now fiber technology has advanced so much. I don't know how they do it but it looks like real hair! It's not like 30 years ago anymore.
Upcoming Plan
I'm planning a long TikTok Shop live just dedicated to wigs:
-
Short hair, long hair
-
Bohemian braided hair
-
Full lace, half lace
-
Colorful wigs
-
Flame red
-
Everything you want!
I'll try them all on and show you the real quality.
Accompanying Products
Oh, I also use gel from Hair Diagram (I think that's the name - I work with her). They have:
-
Gel that holds hair very well (not glue)
-
Bold hold - lasts 2–7 days (7 days if you don't sweat much)
-
Sweat spray - helps hair not be affected by sweat
Final Words
See, sometimes the things we say "never" about become the best things! I was wrong to think synthetic hair was bad. Technology changed, and I'm glad I gave it a chance.
My customers love these wigs, many come back to buy again and again. Some spend $300–500 in my live, see me three times a week and keep buying!
If you're a "hair connoisseur," try them and tell me your honest opinion! Customers who bought from my TikTok Shop all left very positive reviews.
See you in the next live — I'll show many more wig styles!
Stay blessed, stay warm, and remember to put God first in everything you do!
Peace, love and hair grease! 💕
