Remembering My Sweet Valentine’s Day With Nate 💕
Hey everyone! I suddenly found myself reminiscing about Valentine’s Day back in February and wanted to share some of the sweetest moments Nate and I spent together.
A Whole Week of Love
Looking back, it makes me smile! We didn’t just celebrate for one day — we made it a whole week of love. I remember we started celebrating the weekend before Valentine’s, and even on the 14th itself, we still wanted another special night together. I told Nate, “Let’s go get sushi!” — one of our all-time favorite meals!

Unforgettable Surprises
I can still picture the moment Nate walked in carrying those giant balloons! I’m serious — they were huge! I couldn’t help but laugh and say, “Look at my husband bringing home the biggest balloons ever!” He also gave me a gorgeous orchid, complete with a care guide that said, “Water with one shot glass weekly or 5 ice cubes.” I just had to laugh reading that — Nate always knows how to make me smile!
The Cute Little Debate
One funny memory I can never forget — we had a playful “debate” about who Valentine’s Day is really for. I told Nate I’d heard that Valentine’s is for women, while Sweetest Day (or, you know, Steak and BJ Day) is supposed to be for men.
But Nate, with his modern way of thinking, immediately disagreed:
“I think both days should be for both people. I don’t like all that gender stuff like ‘this is women’s day, that’s men’s day,’ blah blah blah.”
I just laughed and said, “Darius (his real name), it’s really not that deep! People can celebrate however they want!” But honestly, I had to admit — he had a good point.
That Unforgettable Sushi Dinner
Oh, that sushi dinner! We literally starved ourselves all day to “save room” for it. I even told you guys in the video, “If you think I ordered too much food — you’re absolutely right! I’m about to eat my whole heart out tonight!”
On the way to the restaurant, we talked about so many things — even some of the sad stories happening in the world. Nate told me about a heartbreaking incident he’d heard, and we took a moment to pray for the people who were suffering. Even on a happy day, we didn’t forget to think about others.
Looking Back With Gratitude
Now that I look back, I realize what made that Valentine’s Day truly special wasn’t the gifts or the fancy dinner — it was the simple moments. Laughing together, having silly debates, sharing our thoughts during the drive, and just being in each other’s presence.
It’s been over half a year since that Valentine’s, but the sweetness still lingers. And I know we’ll continue creating even more beautiful memories in the days ahead.
A Message for You All
Whether you’re in a relationship or not, remember this: love is everywhere — in your family, your friends, and in the love God has for you. Don’t wait until Valentine’s Day to celebrate love. Every single day can be special if you take the time to appreciate it.
Love you all! 💕
