Today, I want to share something deeply personal and terrifying that my family went through. This is exactly why I always remind everyone to pray and cover your children with protection every single day.
Both My Sons – In the Same Year
You might not believe this, but both of my sons were in car accidents within the same year. And not just minor ones – both cars were completely totaled. When I say totaled, I mean there was absolutely nothing left to save.
Even scarier, the accidents happened just months apart.

The Most Horrifying Accident
One of my sons had an accident so terrifying that I still can’t believe he made it out alive. His car went off a cliff — yes, you heard that right — down into a ravine.
The car was submerged in water. He was trapped inside. To this day, I have no idea how he got out. I can’t explain it. But somehow, he did. He survived.
God Is So Good
Let me tell you something — God is so good. I’m beyond grateful and overjoyed that both of my sons survived those terrible accidents. Two total losses, two life-threatening situations — yet my boys are still here, still breathing, still strong.
That’s exactly why I always say: you have to pray. You must cover your children with prayer at all times.
The Power of Prayer
This experience taught me that nothing is more important than praying for your children. Even when they’re grown, even when they don’t live under your roof anymore — you still have to pray for them every day.
Accidents can happen at any moment. Danger is everywhere. But with prayer, with God’s divine protection, our children can overcome anything.
A Message to All Parents
If you’re a parent watching this, please remember: never stop praying for your children. No matter how old they are, no matter where they are, a parent’s prayer carries incredible power.
Both of my sons could’ve been gone. But God spared them. He protected them. And I truly believe that’s because of the constant prayers from me and my husband.
Grateful Every Single Day
Every day I wake up, I thank God that my sons are still here. Those two accidents could’ve taken them away, but God had a different plan. He still has a purpose for their lives.
That’s why when Dalvin said he wanted to become a police officer, it shook me so deeply. I’ve already come close to losing my sons — and the thought of them stepping into even more danger terrifies me.
Through it all, I’ve learned that faith and prayer are the strongest shields a parent can have.
