Hey my beautiful family! đź’•
I’ve been holding this in for so long, and today is finally the day I get to share it with y’all—my bedroom makeover journey! Some of you have seen sneak peeks on TikTok, little behind-the-scenes clips here and there, but now it's time for the full reveal. We’re about 90% done with our guest bedrooms, and with Easter guests arriving this weekend, the timing couldn’t be more perfect to let you into these sacred spaces before they’re lived-in, loved-on, and wrapped in good conversation and laughter.
Now, I have to warn you—our master bedroom isn't quite ready yet. We’re still waiting on our comforter set (it’s on backorder, bless it). But once it arrives and we add those final finishing touches? Y'all will be the very first to get the grand tour. Until then, come along with me through these three beautiful guest rooms—each one crafted with intention, each one carrying its own story of faith, comfort, and the kind of love that lingers long after you leave.

Room One: The Gold & Black Sanctuary
Step inside this space and the first thing you’ll notice is confidence. I call it the Gold & Black Sanctuary because it radiates strength and elegance. That gorgeous chair by the window? I picked it out just for this room. The detailing on the sides caught my eye and sealed the deal—it pulls the whole palette together like it was meant to be.
I added a dainty plant on a stand, and paired it with a mirror accent that catches the light just right. Those tall gold candles? Pure warmth. They bring this cozy, inviting glow that says “stay a while.” Beneath the TV, I tucked in a small chest with gold and black detailing that’s not only functional but ties everything together like a bow. And don’t worry—I will get around to hiding those cords because your girl can’t stand clutter!
But the heart of this room? That scripture on the wall:
“As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” – Joshua 24:15
It’s not just décor—it’s a declaration. I wanted every soul who steps foot in this room to feel God's peace immediately. A mirror across the room reflects not just space and light, but also a sense of openness and peace. You know me—I believe mirrors don’t just make a space feel bigger; they reflect the soul of the room.
Also, confession time: this bed is high! I’m talkin’ mountain-peak high for those of us who are vertically challenged (me and my 4’11” self included!). I’m planning to add a little step stool on the side because when my family visits, I don’t want anyone climbing into bed like it’s a workout. Comfort should be easy, y’all.
Room Two: The Golden Years Haven
This room feels like a warm embrace from someone who’s known you forever. I call it The Golden Years Haven because that’s exactly the kind of energy it gives off—timeless, peaceful, lived-in in the best way. The art pieces I hung above the bed really anchor the room and set a tone of wisdom and stillness.
The mirrors, now let me tell you—I repurposed them straight out of my master bathroom during a remodel. Waste not, want not! They’ve got this antique charm that just fits here like puzzle pieces. And the “Simply Blessed” sign? That one has journeyed through many rooms in our home and still finds a way to shine. I love pieces with stories.
We chose a soft, classic bedding set that feels rich without being heavy. And the pièce de résistance? A 15-drawer chest I found on TikTok Shop (review coming soon!). It’s functional, beautiful, and—yes!—that glass dresser with bronze trim just arrived with white glove service. Y’all, when they carried it upstairs and assembled it for me, I nearly cried. I forgot I even paid for white glove delivery!
We only have one nightstand right now because I couldn’t find the match (you know how fast these sets go out of stock). But guess what? It still looks perfect. Sometimes what we think is incomplete is actually just what the space needs.
Room Three: The Silver Serenity Space
Ahh, now this one… this room is my in-progress masterpiece. The Silver Serenity Space. It’s not fully done yet, but it already carries such peace and promise. It’s quiet. It’s reflective. It’s gentle. This is the room where people come to breathe, to pause, to reconnect with their spirit.
The verse on the wall says it all:
“Be still and know that I am God.” – Psalms 46:10
That verse centers everything. It was the first thing I picked for this room. The rest followed.
The bedding, like many things in this house, is recycled love—we’ve had it for years, and instead of tossing it, we gave it new purpose. The mirrors are already in place (just need a good cleaning from all the hanging dust!), and I’ve got a matching one arriving soon. My husband already drilled the holes, bless his heart.
The vision for this room includes tall, lush plant pots in each corner (yes, they’ll be faux but fabulous), floating shelves filled with pictures of family, and little bits of scripture that speak to the soul. I also plan to throw a few cozy blankets over those chairs we got years ago from At Home. Just imagine curling up in that corner, book in hand, a cup of tea beside you. That’s the vibe.
Now, y’all know I’m not one to switch up the whole look with every season. When I finish a space, that’s it. This is how it's going to look till Jesus calls me home! Of course, I’ll add a pop of mint green or silver sparkle when the mood strikes, but the bones of the room are set. I’m building spaces that last—spaces that welcome and witness.
A Journey Rooted in Faith and Hospitality
This journey has mostly been online—scrolling, clicking, praying it all fits once it gets here. Sometimes, y’all, I’d order something thinking it matched, and then when it showed up, the color would be off by a mile. But surprisingly? It all came together like puzzle pieces from heaven. And yes, some of my overseas pieces got caught in that shipping drama last year. I had to get a lawyer involved just to get my stuff resent! But they’re on their way now—mirrors, artwork, accents—and I’m ready.
These rooms are more than just pretty. They are intentional. They are about presence. Each room was designed so that anyone who steps in will feel something greater than décor. I want guests to sense that this home is covered in prayer, filled with warmth, and open to joy. Whether you're resting in the bold sanctuary, the golden embrace, or the soft serenity, my prayer is the same: leave here feeling loved.
So thank you for walking through these sacred spaces with me. Thank you for being part of this home-building journey, where faith, beauty, and family come together. And remember:
Let your space tell your story. Let it whisper love. Let it shout joy. And always—always—build your home on a foundation of faith.
