Hey everyone! Today is such a special day for me — the day I finally did something I’ve wanted for a long time: getting my very first face tattoo!
A Brave Decision
That’s right — you heard me correctly. I decided to tattoo my face. This is the year I promised myself to do the things I truly want, without hesitation or fear. And today, I made it happen!
At first, I planned to bring Darius along for some support, but he wasn’t feeling well. That’s okay though — I told myself I could handle this on my own. And of course, I wanted to take you all with me through the camera lens!

Preparing Myself Mentally
I knew it would hurt. I knew it wouldn’t be comfortable. But I was ready! For a second, I even wondered if I should take an Advil beforehand. Then I remembered — you’re not supposed to take anything that thins your blood before getting a tattoo, right?
I’m sure some people will have opinions about my choice. But you know what? It is what it is. This is my life, and I choose to do what makes me happy!
At the Tattoo Studio
Once I sat in the chair, the artist and I discussed exactly what I wanted. We talked about the size, the shading, and how dark I wanted the lines to be.
“I think I might need to come back once or twice to make it a little darker,” I told him.
“You want it darker? Sure, no problem,” he replied.
While he was working, we chatted about freckle tattoos — a trend that’s really popular these days. But for me, I decided to highlight my natural beauty marks instead.
My Little Secret
Here’s a fun fact: I have three real beauty marks on my face, and what I did today was simply enhance them. Yes, they’re still my real moles — just upgraded! Over time, they tend to fade, so I wanted to make sure they stay defined and beautiful.
Aftercare Tips
After finishing, the artist gave me detailed instructions on how to take care of my tattoo:
Absolutely DO NOT:
-
Touch the tattooed area
-
Pick the scabs (no matter how itchy!)
-
Rub harshly
What You SHOULD Do:
-
Use a gentle facial cleanser (baby shampoo or CeraVe works great)
-
Wash your face gently once a day
-
Keep the area clean and dry
-
Avoid letting sweat touch it
It sounds like a lot, but honestly, it’s simple — just be gentle and keep it clean!
The Result
When I looked in the mirror and saw the final result, I was so happy. It turned out exactly how I wanted. I love it!
It was a bold decision, but I have no regrets. This is the year of doing what I truly want — and I did it!
Thank you all for joining me on this special journey. If you’re thinking about making a bold move yourself — be brave and do what makes you happy!
