Hey y’all! Today I wanna share something that came up during a simple meal at KFC with my brother Walt. Sounds random, right? But over some chicken and fries, we ended up diving deep into a conversation about AI and the future of humanity — and let me tell you, it really got me thinking.

When AI Robots Become “Life Partners”
Did you know there are already AI robots being designed to be someone’s boyfriend or girlfriend? When Walt told me that, I was shocked. Like, for real. I just can’t imagine being in a relationship with a robot — no matter how “real” it looks.
But that’s not even the scariest part. What really worries me is this: when AI starts learning how to be more like us humans… what if they start thinking, “Why do we even need humans anymore?”
Would You Trust an AI to Watch Your Kids?
One question Walt and I debated on was: “Would you let an AI robot babysit your child?”
My honest answer? Absolutely NOT.
Think about it — what if it gets hacked? What if it malfunctions? What if it suddenly “changes its mind”? That’s a real risk to our children. I’d rather wash dishes and vacuum the whole house myself than leave a machine in charge of my most precious blessings.
But then Walt said, “A lotta folks will do that, B. They’ll leave their kids with AI so they can go out clubbing or hang out.” And you know what? He’s not wrong — and that thought gave me chills.
The Future We’re Heading Into
Y’all remember the movie I, Robot with Will Smith? That’s exactly the kind of future I’m afraid of. In that movie, AI robots were made to help humans… but eventually decided the best way to protect us was to control us.
Walt and I both agreed: there needs to be a remote to shut them off at any time. But what if AI figures out how to disable that remote? What if they’ve got a master backup plan from the beginning?
Warning Signs We Shouldn’t Ignore
1. AI Is Getting Too Smart
Right now, AI can write, create art, even compose music. What happens when it outsmarts us?
2. We’re Becoming Too Dependent
Even stuff like AI delivery bots kinda freaks me out. We’re giving machines control over everything — from the tiniest tasks to life-altering choices.
3. The Line Between Real and Fake Is Blurring
If AI can mimic emotions, say “I love you,” or pretend to care, how will we even know if what we’re feeling is real — or just code?
Learning From the Past
Back in the day, we had simple fun — playing Mario Brothers or Sonic on Sega. Tech was for fun, not to replace us.
Now? Kids as young as 4 have smartphones and live in Roblox worlds I don’t even understand. We’re raising a generation hooked on machines before they know what real life even feels like.
So What Can We Do?
For Parents:
-
Teach your kids the difference between people and machines
-
Don’t let AI take your place in caring for or teaching your children
-
Create “tech-free” moments where your family disconnects and reconnects
For Ourselves:
-
Use AI as a tool, not a friend
-
Keep building real-world skills without relying on machines
-
Always have a backup plan in case tech fails
For Society:
-
Push for strong regulations around AI development
-
Invest in AI literacy education
-
Protect jobs and roles that only humans can truly do
Final Thoughts
Look, I’m not anti-tech. I see how AI can be a blessing in the right hands. But we have to be wise. We need limits. And above all, we can’t ever forget that humans are the ones who matter most.
As Walt said: “I need a remote to turn them off.” That ain’t just a joke — it’s a reminder that we must stay in control.
