Many of you have been curious about our rooftop and hot tub, so I’d love to give you a closer look at how we built it and why it feels so special to us.
When we purchased our home, one of the first projects we invested in was designing a rooftop space that felt both inviting and functional. We added two comfortable chairs with a sleek little table right in the center. Now, this isn’t just any table—it’s designed with a hidden ice compartment inside. The top can lift about 30 cm, creating a perfectly chilled space to hold bottles surrounded by ice. My husband even installed soft lighting underneath, which gives the rooftop a warm glow at night. He’s also been adding curtains around the area, which not only create privacy but also bring a sense of coziness, almost like having our own private lounge above the city.

The hot tub, which we ordered from Watson’s of Cincinnati, takes this setup to another level. It comes with a Cavanagh canopy and a built-in LED system that cycles through different colors, turning every soak into a calm and almost spa-like experience. What I love most is that it’s designed for all seasons. Even on days like today, when the temperature dips to around -6°C, we can still sit comfortably inside. The roof protects us from rain or snow, and when we pull down the curtains, the warmth inside stays in, making the cold outside feel miles away.
This space has become more than just a rooftop—it’s a little sanctuary where we can relax, recharge, and enjoy moments together no matter the season.
