Hey y’all! I wanted to take a moment to clear the air and share a little update about what’s going on with my car—because I know some folks have been making assumptions.
First things first: No, my car has NOT been repossessed! I’ve seen the whispers and heard the chatter, but let’s set the record straight. The truth is much simpler—it’s just in the shop right now, getting an oil change. But don’t be fooled by how basic that might sound, because when you own a luxury vehicle like a Bentley, even the smallest maintenance task can turn into a full-blown project.
Let me back up a bit. We bought this Bentley after a long and exciting road trip—about 3 to 4 hours from home. We were thrilled, but also knew that owning a car like this comes with a different level of care and responsibility. And when it came time for an oil change, we quickly realized we were in for a challenge.
You see, you can’t just pull into any regular oil change spot and expect them to work on a Bentley. We first tried going to Valvoline, thinking it would be a quick stop, but they immediately told us they couldn’t do it. The technician was really helpful, though—he explained that working on high-end vehicles like this requires specific training and parts. If they used the wrong oil, it could actually void the entire warranty. And nobody wants that!
Turns out, the Bentley requires a very particular type of oil—Mobil 1 ESP X3—which is not something you can find at your average garage. It’s rare, and only a handful of places even carry it, let alone have the experience to do the job right.
Thankfully, after making several calls and doing some serious research, we finally found a garage that had the right oil and the know-how to service the car properly. My husband is over there right now, keeping a close eye on things and making sure everything’s handled with care. We’re hopeful that the oil change will be done smoothly and that the Bentley will be back in our driveway by the end of the day.
