The Invitation to China
Y’all, I got something to tell you that’s been weighing heavy on my mind. I got invited to China, and honestly, I’m really torn about what to do.
Guess what, y’all? They want me to come to China, all expenses paid. Flights, hotels, where I’ll stay—everything covered. But here’s the thing… I just don’t think I can do it.
What do y’all think? Should I go? I’m just so afraid because I’ve heard you can get locked up over there just for being loud. And y’all know I got a big mouth!

Worries About My Personality
I don’t mean to be loud, you know. Me and my brother, we just naturally talk loud for no reason. That’s just how we are. My mama’s the same way—so it is what it is.
And don’t look at me crazy, because y’all know you got folks in your family who talk loud too. You know how it is—“Here come Uncle Joe!” and everybody already knows he’s going to be loud. “Here come Walt”—and yes, I had to say Walt, because y’all know he’s loud too. And then, “Here come Bethany with her big mouth.” Y’all be like, “Y’all ready for her?”
You know you got Auntie Kesha, Auntie Tama—loud mouths run in the family, and we just can’t help it.
Why Am I So Loud?
Truth is, I don’t even know why I talk so loud. I don’t have ear problems or anything. Even when I’m on the phone, I know folks are like, “Girl, we can hear you!”
But here’s the thing—people love me anyway. They don’t even try to correct me. They just say, “We know you got a big mouth.” They turn the volume down, put me on speaker, set the phone down, and step back a little.
Oh, you got to love it. You got to love it, baby.
Details About the Opportunity
So yeah, back to China. I don’t even know how long they’d want me there. I think a couple weeks—maybe even a whole month. They want me to do TikTok shops, go live in their studios, and help boost their sales.
They’re picking all the top-ranked sellers, the ones who bring in sales, and covering everything for them.
My Concerns
But honestly, I’d feel lost. And I got work here to handle. Is it really worth my time? Probably not, because I can get more done here and make more money at home.
And let’s not forget, China is 24 hours ahead of us. I’d lose sleep, lose my schedule—it’d throw me off completely.
Going With My Husband
Plus, if I did go, I couldn’t go alone. My husband would have to come with me. And y’all know he runs the warehouse for the sauce business. There’s no way he can take off for a whole month.
Final Thoughts
So yeah, food for thought, baby. That’s it. I’m truly grateful for the opportunity—it means my work is getting recognized worldwide, and that’s amazing. But sometimes, the best opportunities aren’t the ones we take. They’re the ones that remind us how far we’ve come.
At the end of the day, I got to think about what matters most: my family, my business here at home, and the community that supports me. Sometimes staying put and growing what you already got is better than chasing something shiny and new across the globe.
And honestly, with my big mouth and loud personality, maybe I belong where I can be myself without worrying about getting in trouble for just being… me.
The Decision
So I think I’m going to pass on this China trip. My heart is telling me to stay home, focus on building our businesses, and keep serving y’all with content right here from the USA.
