Hey everyone!
My husband and I are so excited to finally share a little personal update — we’ve officially upgraded our home gym, and it’s been a game-changer for our fitness journey!
We used to squeeze in our workouts in a much smaller space, often bumping elbows and dodging dumbbells. But now, we’ve moved into a larger room that gives us more freedom to move, stretch, and focus. Having that extra space makes a big difference in how motivated we feel each day.
Let’s talk real talk for a second.
Right now, I’m weighing in at 141 pounds — that’s about 10 pounds more than my usual range of 130–133. Between filming cooking videos, enjoying food on the go, and just… life happening, my health goals quietly slipped to the side. But instead of beating myself up, I saw this as the perfect opportunity for a fresh start. So we committed to creating a space where fitness feels empowering — not intimidating.
🏋️♀️ What’s Inside Our Home Gym?
We’ve invested in high-quality equipment that we know we’ll use consistently:
-
NordicTrack Treadmill
This isn’t just any treadmill — it comes with a massive screen and interactive classes that guide you through each session. The virtual trainers keep me moving when I’d rather just curl up with a blanket. It's ideal for someone like me, who needs that extra boost of motivation. -
Peloton Bike
The Peloton is a real powerhouse. I’ll admit, it took me a couple of weeks to get used to that stiff seat — but now, I love it. The live classes, the energy, the trainers shouting your name... it feels like having a mini cheering squad in your own home. -
400-Pound Dumbbell Set
It took us over seven months to collect the entire set — a real labor of love. Why so many weights? So we don’t have to stop mid-workout to switch plates. It keeps the momentum going and makes circuit training a breeze. -
Bonus Gear
Our gym also includes resistance bands, a barbell, jump ropes, a punching bag (great for letting off steam), and a smart workout mirror that corrects posture in real time. I especially love the mirror — it’s like having a silent trainer watching your form! -
Peloton Shoes & More
And yes — we got the proper Peloton shoes. They clip onto the pedals just like the ones on those rugged mountain bikes I used to ride as a kid. Nostalgic and practical at the same time.
We’ve even added a small TV so we can blast our favorite workout playlists or catch up on shows while getting our steps in. And soon, we’ll be adding a sunroom right next to the gym for more natural light — I can already imagine how calming it’ll feel during morning workouts.
🧘♀️ My Fitness Style
Here’s the thing: I’m not a hardcore gym rat. I prefer low-impact workouts that build gradually — my go-to is the elliptical. It’s easy on the joints and perfect for my body type and current weight. I believe fitness should feel good, not punishing.

🎯 The Goal? 10 Pounds — And a Healthier Mindset
This isn’t just about a number on the scale. It’s about feeling stronger, more energized, and more aligned with the life we want to live. With the new year in full swing, there’s no better time to recommit to your goals. And if you’re like me — starting from a place of self-love rather than pressure — then you’re already on the right track.
We hope our home gym inspires you to carve out a space for wellness in your own life — whether it’s a full setup or just a yoga mat in your living room.
Let’s move, sweat, and grow stronger — together.
Much love, and see you in the next update!
