A Peaceful Escape: Our Romantic Getaway to Miami Beach

A Peaceful Escape: Our Romantic Getaway to Miami Beach

Hey everyone! I’m so excited to finally share the highlights from our recent vacation at the stunning Four Seasons Surf Club in Miami Beach—it was everything we hoped for and more.

This was a much-needed, intimate getaway for just my husband and me. After weeks of nonstop work, deadlines, and balancing personal responsibilities, we both craved a space to breathe, to reconnect, and to truly rest. The Surf Club turned out to be the perfect sanctuary.

We booked an oceanfront suite on the 11th floor, and let me tell you—the view was nothing short of magical. From the moment we walked in, I felt like we had stepped into a dream. The room was a blend of elegance and comfort: sleek modern design with warm touches that made it feel like home. There was a spacious walk-in closet (which I immediately filled), a fully stocked minibar, and a bathroom that could rival a luxury spa—with a deep double bathtub perfect for evening soaks, and a rainfall shower for that refreshing start to the day.

One surprise: the weather. I came prepared for sunshine and heat but found myself needing jeans and a light jacket instead. It was breezier than expected, and honestly, I didn’t mind at all—it added a cozy feel to the mornings and evenings. Lesson learned: always check the forecast closer to the date!

Most of our days were spent in blissful relaxation. The resort’s private beach access and shaded cabanas made it feel like we had our own little slice of paradise. We lounged by the pool, nibbled on fresh fruit and snacks brought right to our beach chairs, and sipped cocktails with the ocean in front of us and no schedules to follow. I treated myself to a spa session, and it was hands-down one of the best I’ve had—soothing, peaceful, and exactly what I needed to reset.

Food was another highlight. We dined at the resort’s Mediterranean restaurant and were blown away by the flavors—fresh, vibrant, and beautifully presented. I also had my eye on Trick Daddy’s restaurant, so we made a spontaneous decision to rent a car. It actually turned out to be super helpful since we used it for quick trips to CVS and exploring nearby spots without relying on ride-shares.

Since this was a couple’s trip, we intentionally kept the itinerary light. We didn’t feel the pressure to “do it all” or check off touristy things. Instead, we focused on being present—with each other, with the surroundings, with ourselves. I barely picked up the camera. For once, I allowed myself not to document everything, and just be.

Honestly, the timing of this trip couldn’t have been better. I was working right up until the night before we left—so much so that I didn’t even get around to doing my nails (which, if you know me, you know that’s rare!). But despite the rush, once I arrived and exhaled, I felt the stress start to melt away.

Now, I feel energized and ready to jump into the exciting projects ahead—like finishing my book, experimenting with my garlic sauce recipe, and prepping for some fun Amazon Live sessions. This trip reminded me of the power of rest, and how taking time to pause can actually move you forward with more clarity and joy.
