I went through a medical procedure called endometrial ablation, and to my surprise, it brought me into menopause much faster than I ever expected. For years, I had been dealing with reproductive health concerns, always wondering how they would affect me in the long run. But after this surgery, everything about my body and my daily life shifted in ways I never could have fully prepared for.

One of the most difficult changes has been the onset of menopause symptoms almost overnight. Insomnia has quickly become the biggest battle I face. Some nights I find myself staring at the ceiling, tossing and turning until the early hours of the morning. The exhaustion that follows makes it hard to stay energized the next day. While I know sleeplessness is a very common effect of early menopause, it still feels overwhelming when I am living through it.
Another major concern for me is my estrogen levels. My doctors explained that a decline in estrogen could lead to more health complications if not managed carefully. They suggested hormone replacement, but I hesitate when it comes to supplements. The idea of possible side effects, such as an increased risk of blood clots—even if the risk is small—still leaves me feeling uneasy. I find myself weighing the benefits against the “what ifs,” and the decision isn’t easy.
Then there are the hot flashes. They come without warning—a sudden rush of heat spreading through my body, followed by sweat and discomfort, as if I’ve been thrown into a furnace. These moments are short, lasting only minutes, but they feel much longer when I’m in them. To cope, I asked my husband to set up a small fan beside our bed. Oddly enough, as soon as the fan starts blowing, I go from burning up to feeling chilled again. It’s almost comical how quickly the body can swing between extremes.
Because I want to avoid depending solely on medication, I’ve been exploring natural ways to support my body. Right now, I’ve added collagen, CMOS in my smoothies, and aloe vera water to my daily routine. I hope these choices will strengthen and balance my system, though I remain curious and cautious about how much of a difference they can really make.
Later this month, I have an appointment scheduled with my doctor. This time, I plan to request a full blood test to get precise information about my estrogen levels. Having clarity about what’s happening inside my body will guide me toward the most suitable treatment options, whether natural or medical.
In spite of these health struggles, I choose to hold onto the positives. One major relief is no longer dealing with menstrual cycles. That freedom alone feels like a weight lifted off my shoulders. Beyond that, new doors are opening for me. I recently signed a contract with an advertising agency, and I’m excited to take on opportunities in both commercial and television projects. These fresh ventures remind me that life continues to move forward, even in the face of challenges.
Through it all, my faith remains unshaken. I truly believe that no matter how heavy life feels at times, as long as I keep God at the center of it all, everything will work out. The journey may not always be easy, but with strength, patience, and trust, I know brighter days are ahead.
