iPhone 17 Sold Out – You’ll Have to Wait Until October to Get One

So we're sitting in the car after getting our Taco Bell - you know how I do with my fresh tacos - and Darius starts talking about this new iPhone 17. Now y'all know I don't be keeping up with all this technology like that, but let me tell you what this boy told me.

He's talking about how everybody and their mama is trying to get this phone. And I'm like, "Are you sure about that?" Because in my mind, I'm thinking people haven't been buying iPhones like they used to. But Darius explains it's because of some new camera or whatever.

Now here's the thing that got me - he said if you want this iPhone 17 Pro Max (or whatever it's called), you basically out of luck right now. You got to wait until October! Can you believe that? October! And it's not even because people are going crazy for it. According to him, Apple probably didn't make enough of them this year because folks haven't been buying iPhones lately since they all look the same anyway.

So now what happens? You got people pre-ordering left and right, and if you go on Verizon or Best Buy's website, they telling you "sorry, come back in October." That's exactly what Darius found when he was looking online. Everything is backordered until October 10th or something like that.

But you know this boy always got a plan. He thinks maybe if he goes to Best Buy in person tomorrow, he might be able to get one from their actual store inventory instead of waiting for the online orders. I told him, "Good luck with that, baby." But hey, you never know.

What really got me scratching my head is this - if Apple knew they had all these new features and a new camera that people might actually want, why didn't they make more phones? That don't make no business sense to me. You got a product people want and you don't make enough of it? I don't understand that logic.

Darius tried to explain it to me about how Apple probably figured people weren't going to care about the new features, but then I'm like, if that's the case, why is everybody trying to get it now? Make it make sense.

And don't even get me started on how much these phones cost. Y'all spending all this money for a phone, and then you can't even get it when you want it. Back in my day, if you wanted something and had the money for it, you could go buy it. Now you got to pre-order everything and wait months.

I just think companies need to do better with figuring out what people want and making sure they got enough of it. But what do I know? I'm just trying to get my tacos made fresh and keep my phone working so I can call people when I need to.

Y'all let me know in the comments if you're trying to get this iPhone 16 too, and if you having the same problems getting your hands on one. Because this whole situation sounds like a mess to me.
