Hey everyone!
Welcome back to my channel! Today’s video is something a little different, and honestly, I think y’all are going to love it. Instead of me sitting down and reviewing my new Fashion Nova haul like usual, I decided to switch things up and get my husband Nate involved. Yep, that’s right – I asked him to rate each of the outfits I picked out, and let’s just say… he did not sugarcoat anything!
If you know Nate, you know he’s brutally honest (in the best way), and when I handed him the power to score each outfit from 1 to 10, he really went for it. So let’s jump right into the fun and see what he thought about my latest Fashion Nova picks!
Outfit 1 – Cute & Casual Dress | Score: 7/10
The first look was this sweet little dress that I absolutely adore. It’s got a flattering silhouette with a gold zipper down the front, tiny adjustable ties, and a simple but elegant design on the back. It’s one of those pieces you can just throw on and instantly feel put together.
When I tried it on and gave Nate my best twirl, he smiled and said, “It’s really cute. It looks nice and classy.” He liked the design, especially how it strikes a balance between casual and slightly dressy.
Personally, I love this outfit for how versatile it is. I could easily wear it with strappy heels, cute sandals, or even white sneakers for a chill weekend look. I picked it up in a size medium, and it fits like a dream. Nate gave this one a solid 7 out of 10 – not bad at all for a simple, everyday outfit!
Outfit 2 – Statement Glam | Score: 9 to 10/10
Now this outfit was a whole vibe! It’s bold, it’s bright, and it screams “I’ve arrived.” It features eye-catching colors, studded detailing, and pretty pearl embellishments that really take the look to the next level. The wide sleeves with elegant side slits gave it such a luxurious feel – I felt like I was walking the red carpet!
Nate was super impressed with this one. He said it would be perfect for a fancy dinner, a night out, or even a classy cocktail party. He recommended pairing it with some killer heels to really elevate the look. Even though he wasn’t the biggest fan of the texture of the fabric, he was quick to point out how high-end it looked – almost like a designer outfit, despite the super affordable Fashion Nova price.
He couldn’t decide between a 9 or a 10, so he gave it somewhere in between. Either way, I’ll take it – I loved this look and felt like a total fashion queen wearing it!
Outfit 3 – Off-the-Shoulder Jumpsuit | Score: 6.5/10
Next up, we’ve got this flirty off-shoulder jumpsuit – and y’all already know, bare shoulders are a whole mood. This piece felt relaxed but still put-together, with soft, comfy fabric and deep pockets (a major win for us ladies!).
I picked this one up for just $39.99, which is an amazing deal for the quality. It hugs in the right places, and I really loved how breathable it felt. It’s perfect for brunch with the girls or a casual summer date.
Now, Nate wasn’t as enthusiastic about this one. He said the color was a bit too bright and flashy for his personal taste. He gave it a 6.5 out of 10 but mentioned that the right shoes and accessories could definitely level it up.
Fair enough – I still think it’s a keeper!
Outfit 4 – Sleek & Simple Elegance | Score: 8/10
For the final look, I went with something more classic – a chic outfit in black and cream tones. This one is all about minimalism done right. It’s the kind of outfit you can wear to the office during the day and then head straight to dinner afterward without needing a full wardrobe change.
Just add a blazer or switch up the accessories, and boom – you’ve got two totally different looks with zero stress.
Nate appreciated the clean lines and understated vibe. He said it was sophisticated and practical, and gave it a strong 8 out of 10. This one’s definitely going into my regular rotation!
Nate’s Final Thoughts
After rating all the outfits, Nate shared his final rankings. His favorite was the black and pink glam look – he said it had that wow factor and looked really expensive. Next came the sleek black-and-cream outfit, followed by the off-shoulder jumpsuit, and finally the cute blue dress.
He did mention that bold, flashy colors just aren’t his thing, which is totally fair. But he also admitted that a lot of people do love vibrant pieces – it’s all about personal style, right?
